Oreo Cookies and Cream No-Bake Cheesecake ~ An adult dessert gets some kid lov’n with an Oreo crush.
What kid doesn’t love Oreos, right? But not every kid likes cheesecake. Please tell me I am not the only one that acquired a taste for cheesecake through the years.
In fact, I think my first bite of cheesecake was at a Cheesecake Factory when I was in high school. But maybe that had more to do with my parents being very strict, old world Asians. They convinced my siblings and me that American restaurants were for Americans, along with other weird ideas like makeup was to be worn when I was 30-something and boyfriends were had after college graduation. And by that I mean after I became a doctor.
Yeah, so much for parental influence. I’ve entered Willy Wonka’s world and I never want to leave.
I love this latest creation to come out of my Wonka factory: Oreo Cookies and Cream No-Bake Cheesecake. Seriously, one of my easiest desserts ever—ten minute prep, throw it in the fridge to set, and enjoy childhood bliss with every Oreo filled cheesecake bite.
Oreo Cookies and Cream No-Bake Cheesecake
Ingredients
Crust
- 1 1/2 cup crushed graham cracker
- 1/4 cup packed light brown sugar
- 7 tablespoon unsalted butter(melted)
Cheesecake
- 2 ¼ cups heavy cream
- 1 pound cream cheese, softened
- 2/3 cup sugar
- ½ teaspoon salt
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 2 teaspoon vanilla powder
- ¾ cups Oreo Cookies, crushed
Instructions
Crust
- Combine graham cracker crumbs with sugar.
- Add melted butter and blend until combined.
- Press into pan. Set aside.
Cheesecake
- Beat heavy cream until medium peaks form. Set aside.
- Add cream cheese, sugar, salt, vanilla powder, lemon juice to a bowl and beat with a paddle attachment until smooth (approximately 3-5 mins). If you do not have a stand mixer or a paddle attachment a hand beater will work as well, but will take twice as long to achieve a smooth consistency.
- Add cream cheese mixture to heavy cream and beat until incorporated.
- Gently fold in Oreo cookies.
- Fill chosen pan with a slight mound at the center, as the cheesecake will become slightly sunken at the center.
- Refrigerate for at least 6 hours to set or overnight for best results.
- Remove from refrigerator and smooth top to level with edges. Serve with whipping cream and garnish with mini Oreos.
Notes
A few notes:
- I made these as Mini Oreo Cookies and Cream Cheesecake, but the recipe will work just as well in a 9 inch cheesecake pan or springform.
- If you do not have vanilla powder you can omit it. I don’t recommend vanilla extract or it will end up coloring your cheesecake with a slight brownish color.
- For best results refrigerate overnight.
- Keep refrigerated up until 20 minutes before serving.
- Other no-bake cheesecakes you may like White Chocolate Tuxedo Cheesecake and SoNo's No-Bake Cheesecake.

These look SO delicious. I’ve not had much success with cutting round servings of cheesecake…do you have any tips & tricks? I’d LOVE some advice!
Angela says
two questions –
1- what recipe did you use for your crusts?
2- how much vanilla extract would you use if you have clear vanilla extract (I have it for making icing, but sometimes use it in baking when I run out of the brown stuff)
I am totally makign this recipe this week, its just what the doctor ordered. 😀
Naomi says
Hi Angela and Jessica,
Chicago Metallic’s Mini Cheesecake Pan with Removable Bottoms http://amzn.to/awKqEW Once the cheesecake has set and you remove it. Use an off-set spatula to smooth out the top and sides.
As for the vanilla extract use 1 1/2 teapsoons.
Thanks,
naomi

Do you just make a regular graham cracker crust?

I’ve always been a cheesecake lover but it’s only recently that I’ve started to like less sweet, more adult flavored cheesecakes. And savory cheesecakes have been rocking my world as well.
There’s always room for Oreo flavored anything in my life though. And I love that these are no-bake!

just wondering if i use this recipe can i still bake it?
Is there a recipe for the baked version of this?
Naomi says
I would not use this as a bake version. There are many baked Oreo versions, but I don’t have one as I’ve yet to try it that way.

Did you cover these when you refrigerated them?
Naomi says
Hi Deanna,
A lose piece of plastic wrap will do fine.
Deanna says
Thanks! Also, in one place you say it can be made as a 9 in cheesecake and in another you say 8 in. Which one is correct?
thanks!
Julia says
Hi Naomi,
Love your mini’s..totally awesome..May I know, does your refrigerating means not freezing it in the freezer compartment of the fridge? I notice that some people may refer refrigerating as normal refrigerating while some may meant as refrigerate it in the freezing compartment. Can you help me out?
Rachel @ Bakerita says
This looks AMAZING!
Cheesecake was definitely an acquired taste for me, glad I’m not the only one. I’ll definitely try this though, because cheesecake is one of the few baking adventures I haven’t tackled yet, and the baked ones freak me out!

I made this the other day- so deliciously dreamy!!!
I did make some adjustments to the base using tea biscuits and omitting the sugar. Also I made them in a silicone muffin tray and froze them (freezing made it easier to remove from the mold). Oreo cheesecake ice cream- YUM YUM YUM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Thank you for providing this recipe.

This looks absoloutely georgeous! Is it possible to substitute the heavy cream with double cream?
fairy says
Hi..I tried these cheesecakes and they came out divine. However, where I live we do not have heavy cream so I used normal fresh cream. As a result it did not set well..would I be able to use gelatine to set it..? If so, how much would you recommend. .? Thanx
Carly says
This tasted so rich and creamy. I can’t stop eating it. I doubled the recipe, but was 1/4 cup short of heavy cream. Nonetheless, it tasted fine without it, and it probably would have been too rich for me, haha. Yum.

Where can I find a mini cheese cake pan and are they reasonably priced?
Ann Marie says
Hopefully I am going to be making this recipe in a few days since it seems like the most delicious version of this no bake cheesecake, but I was wondering… Did you use regular sugar or powdered/confectioners’ sugar? I had read somewhere that using regular sugar would make it grainy. This would be my first time so I wouldn’t know. Is that true? Thanks.
Jessica says
Heyy they look really delicious! I’m trying to translate your recipe to Spanish in order to make it (cause I’m dying for them) and i just have a question: what is the heavy cream or how can i prepare it? This can be my first Oreo cake. Thanks for your help and for the great recipes you have!!
Sharon says
These would make a great presentation on a dessert table. Just curious…what kind of pan do you use to get such perfect little desserts?
Stephanie says
I love these. What kind of pan or item did you use to make them so perfectly small?

I wondered the same thing so I checked Amazon and they make mini cheesecake pans with pop out bottoms, who knew?
Silvia Rolon says
Samara says
How many days would these keep in the fridge in an airtight container?

Keiry – Yes, you can.

Yay, and I forgot to ask for how long? Because I imagine it takes a lot less time, hopefully.

Of all the recipes out in the very vast Internet world yours appeals to me the most! All are brilliant and beautifully presented! I am making 100 of these, hopefully for a fundraiser – my concern is, do you think they will survive sitting out for maybe 4 hours? They will work perfectly with it’s black and white color theme.
Sammy says
This did not work out for me at all.i followed the recipe to the point. Don’t know what went wrong:(

I want to make several hundred of these for a wedding, but I am looking for answers to the questions that have been posed above, such as can you freeze these? Do you think these could set out for four hours? Could you please respond to some of the questions specifically these two. Several of the above comments said that this recipe did not work for them. I notice you do not use any gelatin and I was wondering if perhaps that is why they did not set up. Please please please respond to my questions.
Hannah says
Hey, i was wondering if they would work if i put them into deep patty pans?
Thanks
Bec says
Try just using regular household plumbing pipe … it’s what they use in bakeries. Check that it is food grade plastic, and that all of the edges are smoothed. Other than that, you can cut it to the width & height that you want!
Kendall says
Cute! How did you make them mini? Miniature spring form pans?
katy says
is there a substitute for vanilla powder? Flavour wise I assume that you can add vanilla extract, but does the powder help the cheesecake take form?
anne says
Hi good day! I would like to ask of i can use whip cream powder for this recipe and how many grams should i use? Another question. How long will it last for it to expire?
Stacey says
What type of pan did you use for the smooth edges? Also I have clear vanilla extract. Do you think that will work? These look gorgeous BTW!
Jamiella Brooks says
This recipe is missing just ONE crucial detail: use oreo cookie WAFERS and not the CREME! The oreo cookies must have their cream fillings removed in order for this recipe to work. Also, like another reviewer mentioned an oreo (not graham) crust just goes so well with it!

Does this cheesecake set without gelatin or agar powder? One person mentioned that they would reduce the heavy whipping cream – how much would you add instead of 2 1/4 cups? If you add agar powder, how much would you add? I would like to make 48 mini cheesecakes for New Years Eve and am hoping for a response before then. Please…..
How long can I refrigerate it>
If I freeze them, when do I take them out and let them thaw out? In the fridge? On the counter? Take them out of the freezer 20 minutes before serving?
Thank you
