Scheduling and time management are definitely not my core strengths. My phone reminds me of this repeatedly. Instead of responding to set alarms for upcoming tasks and events, my phone is usually plastered with calendar notifications with past due deadlines of which I unrepentantly swipe to the left for dismissal.
It drives Matt crazy. But he’s makes it too easy by being Mr. Precision. He is my backup reminder. Talk to him and he will say, he is the reminder. Lucky for me redemption is never more than a meal away or in this case a cocktail that we’ve been sipping on for the last few days.
It’s a twist on the classic side car. I traded in the lemon juice for muddled blackberries and Cointreau for a ginger liqueur to give it a fall profile.
This blackberry ginger sidecar is also the featured cocktail on our Thanksgiving menu. A menu that I only put together earlier this morning because I forgot Thanksgiving is this week. If it were not for Matt and him asking if the grocery list was ready, I probably would have had another panic-free day.
Now as it is, I’m going to be elbow-deep in food prep and swiping phone reminders with food-stained fingers for the next few days.

Trust me, I am horrible with time management, I totally get it! LOVE this drink, perfect for thanksgiving!
So delicious! What a great drink to serve this holiday season, Naomi!
Beautiful!!!
I say if you make gorgeous drinks like this you don’t need to worry about time management! 🙂
Love the blackberry ginger flavour combo!
A beautiful and festive beverage!
SO gorgeous Naomi!!!!!
I could totally go for a few of these over the wine on Thursday!
Aww, it sounds like you two are the perfect pair Naomi! As an ex-chemist, I learned early on that “opposites attract” (although that was meant for protons and electrons…), and it sounds like that’s true for people two. You two are so cute! 🙂 Our Thanksgiving is always incredibly small (just the 4 of us plus Grandma), so we never plan very far in advance. You’d fit right in with us!! 🙂 Have a wonderful Thanksgiving!
If this is the featured drink then I’m coming for Thanksgiving 🙂
What a perfect drink to serve at holiday parties! Also, I am the worst at time management.
OMG – I’m so glad I’m not the only one who swipes left! LOL This looks like an incredible drink to celebrate the season with!
