Long title, weird opening, but keep reading because I want to know who else does what is written below. (And yes of course there’s food + recipe at the end).
It’s Friday. Thank GAWD! Because we are only two days away from a new week. New week, new start. Which means I have exactly two days left to obsess over my latest embarrassment. Yes, I put a time frame on it, because otherwise, I obsess – OBSESSIVELY, especially when I embarrass myself.
Anyone else out there like me? If you are then you were probably also the same person who peeled scabs off despite the bloody sting and pressed bruises while ignoring the shooting pains. So when it comes to embarrassing moments, I end up replaying awkward moments in slow-mo and on repeat.
Because that’s what adults do.
Or not.
Or maybe it’s because the said embarrassing moment is on social media because you did a Facebook LIVE and there’s no redo and you wonder why in the world are your hands flapping non-stop like a seal, and that moment when you can’t remember the command while demo-ing Amazon’s Alexa, or when you try to do too many things on the fly while trying to appear at ease, or maybe it’s that bit when your nose is wrinkled up in an odd way while talking about your food. . . . “What was I thinking”.
Do you see why I put a cap on my days of obsession? Matt, my lovely husband, will tell you I’m being overly hard on myself. He’s probably right, BUT STILL. Hello, I did not #girlboss my way through that Facebook Live. I tripped and I stumbled, but yet, I will be back at it, because what is the point of obsessing over things like the aforementioned if I don’t work on improving it. Right?
For now, hit the link here, because the recipe for the above Blackberry and Banana Overnight Oats from Quaker is delicious.

I am like you- not about the scabs but about the obsessing! Totally relate to that! You’re so smart to put a cap on it. My one and only FB live was a total disaster. Loving the oats either way 🙂
