Cocktail Popsicle: Dirty Pirate

This is a classic coke and rum, well almost, replace the regular rum with spice rum then throw in some Kahlua with it for a surprisingly, good, really good cocktail popsicle. I only say surprising because the idea of spiced rum and Kahlua seems like an awkward coupling, but it works.

Dirty Pirate Cocktail Popsicle

This is a drink that was mentioned by my friend and co-worker Dru. When she said Dirty Pirate, I knew I had to work it into a post. Call me juvenile, but the name just cracks me up. Along with that I have sentimental spot for pirates, for no other reason than when I was a kid I didn’t play with dolls or Care Bears I was a tomboy – so yeah, pirates still rule in my book. I’m not sure about the kahlua, but regular rum and coke on a stick sounds good.

This is awesome! I didn’t expect that rum would freeze well b/c of the alcohol, but it looks like it works pretty well, VERY cool. :) Love the food styling–I think it’s absolutely perfect!

Hi there. This might be you; I don’t know. I read your article on how you get the plates and things not too long ago and remember these popsicles because it’s such a cool photo. Then, today, the same photo showed up on my facebook page because someone ‘liked’ it. The recipe is there as well.

The owner of the page is OBX Living. I’m not one to ‘nark’ on people, but this is a bit different. If it is you, my apologies for the intrusion. I just wanted you to know that your intellectual property is being used. The link is:
