I know I’m not the only last minute planner, or sometimes procrastinator. So to help each of us like-minded people along, here are a few dessert ideas. And guess what? While you are cruising this, I’ll be looking for fast turkey brining recipes. Yep, I only found out yesterday–I’ll be doing Thanksgiving, three-quarters of it a least. Which usually isn’t bad, but I’m doing the turkey. I’m not sure how Matt volunteered me for that since I don’t do turkey, but this no-turkey doer is doing turkey – GULP!
On to more fun things: dessert.
Pressed for time? Here you go, great tasting, great presentation and only fifteen minutes to make-Chocolate Dipped Pears with an Almond Crunch.
This is still one of my very favorite holiday desserts—Chocolate Cranberry Tart . Just don’t eat all of the cranberry curd by the spoonful.
Oh, let’s dig in the archives for this Spiced Pumpkin Cheesecake with a Bourbon Whip Cream.
While we are there, let’s call up this Pumpkin Tart that has a killer pecan and cardamom crust.
This one is well worth the effort – Banana Bread Pudding. To shortcut the time, use store-bought banana bread or pumpkin bread to keep it seasonal.
Or keep it simple and traditional with this Pumpkin Roll
Cake. I have to at least throw out the cake option: Cranberry-Orange & Coconut Cake
And if you been tasked for breakfast or brunch the next day, here you go – Pumpkin Muffins with a Candied Walnut Streusel
Alright late-starters, let’s do this and make it a killer holiday!
