There are so many reasons to celebrate the holiday season, but my favorite has always been about family time. I love the gatherings, the laughter and the fun. With that comes a good amount of distraction, so this year I’m proud to partner with Volvo to mitigate the distraction while I’m behind the wheel and make it a FESTIVE and JOYOUS season.
A few weeks ago I was able to test drive the new Volvo XC90. What an amazing car, there’s so much to share, so many safety features, but my favorite one has to be the auto brake function for pedestrian, cyclist and vehicle detection. This means if you do get distracted while driving, the XC90’s collision avoidance and mitigation technologies kick in and brakes for you. Obviously you hope it’s not needed but… you know what it’s like—we’ve all been there—you take your eyes off the road for one second, in my case, its been to engage my little guy in the rearview mirror and something unexpected happens. Thankfully Volvo is reminding me to be more mindful with their ethos that family isn’t just an important thing it’s everything. Of course we all know this, but having the additional assistance of the XC90’s auto brake function is a game changer. You should really check out this commercial and see it in action and then tell me if it’s not one of the the most compelling commercials.
I love the message, “Sometimes the moments that never happen, matter the most.”
That’s one more reason why this partnership with Volvo has truly been one of my favorite ones—from their ethos about safety, to their detailed design, I can’t wait to share more. Stay tuned.
For now, check out the little guy and I. We took the XC90 for a drive to find fall leaves to dance and slosh through. It wasn’t the easiest find, but keep in mind fall in California is limited so we don’t get multiple colors like the east coast, but we did find a place that was vibrant with yellow. When we were done, he just wanted to lay down, so I pushed down the third row in the XC90 and we laid there talking about nothing and everything. It was one of those afternoons that just makes a mama’s heart beat with fullness.
