High Plains Drifter Cocktail

November 8, 2016 By Naomi Robinson | Bakers Royale 19 Comments

This is absolutely the craziest election.  I can’t wait to see where America’s feet lands.

There is so much doom and gloom from both sides regarding the results. Of course, I have my side, but I’m not sharing which one it is. I refuse to fall into the the hashtag trap and I’m only here for the food and friends– so let’s agree to all get along!

With all that on the table, let’s talk about this cocktail. This cocktail is from Men’s Fitness magazine. Matt left it out with some dog-earred recipes. Naturally, I made this High Plains Drifter drink first—because it sounded amazing—Matt will tell you it’s because I hate to follow directions or suggestions.

High Plains Drifter Cocktail from Bakers RoyaleSo what makes this drink so amazing? It’s basically a Sazerac, but what sets this one apart is the sarsaparilla. A dash is all that is needed to transform this drink from good to great. Cheers to everyone and to a new America when we wake up on 11/9.

Haha exactly what everyone else said! I love the emotion of manliness and yet, the mysterious sensuality of a woman all put into one photo. Job very well done, Naomi! 😀 And thank you for keeping it so short and sweet on the election topic. I think I’ve heard and read too much about that for my own sanity. 😉

They grumpily ate this. I feel no guilt. I’m pretty sure they know how to pour themselves a bowl of cereal, if they’re still hungry.
