A childhood favorite scaled up with a few add-ins for a tasty back-to-school week treat.
I really should have thought of a better name, but I didn’t want to cheat those looking at the bars wondering what’s in them. Chocolate and peanut butter are pretty much a no-fail pairing, but inspired by little guy’s love for peanut butter and banana sandwiches, I threw in a banana for added goodness.
So yeah, you can absolutely feel good about serving this updated classic dessert to your little one—there is after all a fruit serving involved.

Oh my sweet gawd. I am printing this recipe off and making them now.
And agreed, if there is fruit in them then it must be healthy!

Southeast Asian farmers first domesticated bananas. Recent archaeological and palaeoenvironmental evidence at Kuk Swamp in the Western Highlands Province of Papua New Guinea suggests that banana cultivation there goes back to at least 5000 BCE, and possibly to 8000 BCE.”**”
