KitchenAid Stand Mixer

KitchenAid Stand Mixer

This is a must have tool in every kitchen. See the one in the two pictures-that’s my stand mixer that has been working with me side by side for the last ten years without any problems. My mixer works as hard as I do in the kitchen by being my second set of hands when I’m baking or cooking.
Here’s how my KitchenAid stand mixer and the attachments specifically helps me out in the kitchen:
  • The paddle – I don’t make cake or frosting without it.
  • The whisk –  A must have when I’m working with egg whites and batters that need extra air beaten into it.
  • The dough hook – I use it for breads and pizza dough or any heavy batters.
  • Pasta Cutter – Really do I need to say more? This thing kicks some serious booty for turning out spaghetti, linguine and fettucine.
  • Juicer – Because manual juicing sucks and cleaning a juicer sucks more.
  • Water Jacket – Great for temperature sensitive things that needs to stay cold or hot while mixing.
Aside from the ones I just mentioned, there are other attachments to help make ravolis, ice cream, sausages and an attachment for slicing and shredding. Click here to see the remaining attachments that have not been mentioned.

Now that you know all the reasons why a KitchenAid stand mixer makes my life easier, it’s time to see if one can make your life easier. KitchenAid is generously giving away a stand mixer to one lucky reader.  You even get to pick the color!*

Pumpkin Paradise Pie, a recipe my great-grandmother received with her December electric bill in the 1930s, it is a traditional pumpkin pie with a layer of sweetened cream cheese between the pumpkin layer and the crust. It is absolutely divine!

I love better than pumpkin pie. Tastes just like it but lots quicker. I also love an excuse to make bread!

My favorite holiday dessert would have to be pumpkin chocolate chip cookies, with pumpkin pie coming in second.

Fav holiday dessert? Apple pie. And cookies, any cookie. But i am very partial to krumkake. Spelling is wrong, I am sure of that. But those (swedish?) cookies that are light and airy and rolled into a crunchy, buttery cookie! Yum!
