Mother’s Day Tea Cakes ~ Pretty tea cakes to impress the moms in your life.
Let me start by saying, I have the skills of a dancing elephant when it comes to piping. So what is baker like me suppose to do? Uh, cheat and use forms to create the rose and use a brush to paint some flowers. Athough, I don’t think I quite have the right consistency for buttercream painting yet. More testing on the painted buttercream-when I get it right, I will let you know.
Sorry for the short post. Work is wreaking havoc on me this week. My job has been restructured luckily for the better, but I’m still adjusting.
A few notes:
1. The rose forms are from BakeitPretty.com.
2. The roses are made with candy wafers from BakeitPretty.com
3. Click here for my previous post on working with poured buttercream and the cheat version for the tea cake portion.
