Extreme Brownies

Remember last week’s post when I took a cookie dough cheesecake and laced it into a brownie? And remember how I mentioned I was going to take it a fattening step further? Well here you go, my dear fellow glutton lovers, I took that and wrapped it in a fine flaky layer of puff pastry.

Cookie Dough Cheesecake Brownie Pastry Pockets

Mind blowing. Seriously, it is. The pastry dough makes this dessert. It takes the Cookie Dough Cheesecake Brownie Bar from good to great and into what I call an extreme brownie. The pastry dough gives this over-the-top dessert a sweet and salty combo.

I beg you if you only make one thing from here – PLEASE make this recipe. It is my favorite creation. I had two. I got sick. I had a third and got more sick.

But don’t be like me – pace yourself. Don’t snort three down in five minutes.

Here’s a little step-by-step panel to help you along with the center of that flaky pastry dough. Hit the jump to Endless Simmer for your bite of this mindblowing  Cookie Dough Cheesecake Brownie Pastry Pocket recipe.

Over the top is right! But that’s what dessert is all about, right?

This is quite possibly the most beautiful thing I have ever laid my eyes on. My inner fat kid is doing somersaults and getting winded in anticipation for a bite of these bad boys. That stunning gooey center in the pastry dough is pure evil genius.

There are no directions of how to wrap the brownies in the pastry. What size do you cut the brownies? What size is the puff pastry for each brownie?
